Privacy, in plain English.

• No telemetry is collected by default. Opt-in only.
• If you opt in, the telemetry payload is level-gated and inspectable. You see what's sent before it's sent.
• All conversation, memory, and configuration lives on your disk. Nothing is synced to any server we run.
• When you talk to a model provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, a local Ollama, etc.), that provider receives the prompt. Their privacy policy applies. We are not in the middle.
• Uninstall by deleting the install folder and ~/.smartopol/. That is the entire cleanup.

• No analytics. No tracking pixels. No third-party scripts loading from elsewhere.
• The only thing stored in your browser is a theme preference in localStorage (dark / light). You can clear it any time.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. That means Google sees the fetch. If you block that, the page still works.
• The site is hosted on a static CDN. Standard access logs (IP, URL, timestamp) exist at the edge like on any website; we don't mine them.

If you email me, your message lives in one inbox and one person reads it. It is not synced to a CRM. It is not enriched by a third-party contact database. It is not added to a nurture sequence. It is not shared with partners. When the conversation ends, the email stays in the inbox and that's it.

If you submit your email to the beta waitlist, we store that email for one purpose: to send you the invite. No newsletter, no marketing, no drip. If you change your mind, email hello@smartopol.ai with the subject Remove me from the waitlist and we delete the record.

The only personal data we knowingly hold is: the contents of any email you send us, and the email address you use to request a beta invite. You have the right to ask what we hold, to ask us to delete it, and to object to its processing. Email the address above and we will comply within a reasonable time frame.
