This site is smartopol.ai. It's the home of the project — the binary you download,
the memory system, the plugins, the whole agent. One person writes it. Anyone can use it, free.
If you're looking for a company with a sales team and a pricing page, you're on the wrong site.
Smartopol is a self-hosted AI companion. It runs on your machine — your laptop, your home server, your work box. It has a real memory system, not a prompt file. It speaks across your channels — terminal, chat apps, eventually voice. It does not live in someone else's cloud.
The binary is free. For anyone. Individuals, teams, companies — whoever installs it. There is no paywall, no seat count, no "upgrade to Pro." The source, however, is closed; the letter about that decision is on this site.
Everything you read about on /features is what Smartopol ships as a single self-contained program — before any plugin, before any extension. The plugin system is there so third parties can build on top without waiting for me.
I'm Nenad Nikolin. I write the code, ship the releases, reply to the email. I built Smartopol because every agent I tried forgot who I was by the next session, and the ones that remembered lived in someone else's cloud. I wanted one that lived on my machine, remembered across weeks, and would still work if the company behind the model did something strange.
I take the feedback seriously. I take the bugs seriously. I take the emails seriously. If you write, you get a real reply from me, not a template.
Smartopol LLC is a separate thing from the project on this site. It's the entity that signs contracts, owns the trademark, and can outlive any single person. It exists so the project has legal continuity — not because this site is selling something.
The LLC will get its own site when it has something to say. Until then, what matters is here: the project, the person, the binary, the letter explaining the license, the beta invite. That's the shape of it.
